Bazique Festival is back and billed for the 15th-17th March 2019 after its successful inauguration last year. The fest that goes with the tagline “Art, Muisc & Absurdism” also defines itself as ‘South Africa’s most original and exciting large-scale festival of performing arts.” A 3-day reverie of art, music and surreal shenanigans, set in a majestic lakeside venue. Last year the Western Cape suffered a punishing spell of drought but things have changed which means that the lake will have lots of water and the surroundings green, plush and instagrammable. More reasons to go have a little disco in the woods.
This festival is a collaboration of relentless enthusiasts and creative imaginations from various party franchises; Wolfkop Weekender, Sexy Groovy Love, Cape Town Electronic Music Festival, Bridges for Music, Diskotekah, Into The Wild, We House Sundays, Summer Camp with a cheeky twist of Secret Garden Party (UK)
2019 will feature 8 international DJ’s and 60 local live bands and DJ’s delightfully spliced with performance art, spectacular site art installations, art cars, art boats, pop-up parties and a smorgasboard of the unexpected.
