[vc_row row_type=”row” text_align=”left” css_animation=””][vc_column][vc_column_text]Mum was the word at the Luminance Mother’s Day High Tea held outside the South African multi-brand luxury emporium’s Hyde Park store on Saturday afternoon. International actress, producer and entrepreneur Terry Pheto, who recently landed a prestigious UK acting award, hosted the tea and was honoured with the Luminance Star award for excellence by store owner and leading businesswoman Dr Judy Dlamini.
With Mother’s Day taking place this Sunday May 14th, A-listers took the opportunity to bring along their Moms: Vanessa Carreira-Coutroulis arrived with Adelia Carreira, Tumi Voster with her mom Lebo and stylish TV and radio personality Lerato Kganyago with her mom Rae. Terry Pheto also brough her sister, mother and grandmother. Something she said she rarely does, expose her family to the media but she mentioned since the passing of her father she thought life is too short not to have the people whom I love around me to celebrate my life achievements with me.
A highlight of the afternoon was the evocative Nungu Diamonds X Luminance display inside the store and a tea tasting by proudly African brand, Yswara. Not only that but seeing everyone gathered around to throw roses at Terry Pheto for her humility and career and personal success.
